"James and the Giant Peach, JR." ... At-A-Glance

July 1st - 19th
Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm
Our summer sessions are organized differently than our fall & winter programs. Actors are divided into groups, which are lead by TYT alumni. Actors work in their groups on the music, choreography and staging for the show with the production staff... and then we sew it all together into a seamless show!

Auditions to determine roles will be held on the first morning of the program.
Materials  will be mailed home in June for actors to begin preparing.
After the audition session, we get right to work learning music, lines and choreography.

Each day will consist of:
  • Physical & vocal warm-ups
  • Small Group Rotations (see below)
  • Snack/Water/Lunch/Movement Breaks
  • Large-group Rehearsal

REHEARSAL & WORKSHOP ROTATIONS
*Blocking & Choreography on Stage
*Music rehearsals in the Music Room
*Prop, costume and/or scenery projects
*Team-building activities & theatre-related workshops

Detailed information about the session and specific needs will be mailed home in the middle of June with the scripts and audition materials. If you have questions about the day-to-day operations of the session, please email [email protected]
