ABOUT THE SHOW:
Based on the cherished New Line Cinema hit, Elf JR. features songs by Tony Award-nominees, Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin, with a book by Tony Award-winners, Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin. Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that Buddy is actually a human (hence the enormous size and poor toy-making abilities). With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find their birth father and discover their true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that dad is on the naughty list and that the half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over this new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. ABOUT THE SHOW:
An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth-century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up... and the carnage has only just begun! This special School Edition has been masterfully adapted, working directly with Mr. Sondheim to retain the dark wit and grand scope of the original work. **NOTE: Parents/Guardians are encouraged to research the show, as it contains subject matter that might not be suitable for all families.**
